Heather is my second cousin, the daughter of my oldest girl cousin, Jennifer. They asked me to take a few pictures of her to celebrate her 16th birthday, back in December 2011. Since I live so far away, we had planned for them to come up to Denton, to take the pictures, and just our luck....rain. So we went around Denton, until we found a nice covered, well lit place to take a few shots. We went up to TWU and UNT and I think the pictures turned out pretty good. I made the pretty little paper cupcake, that we used in the picture. I wanted a prop that would be easy to make and light. I think it was a really cute way to show the reason for the pictures. When I decided to scrapbook the page, I knew I wanted it to have a cupcake theme. I had found the cute, little cupcake by recollections on the discount rack at Michaels. I decided to make another cupcake, which would be a little bigger, that was similar to the one we used in the pictures. I made both cupcakes with my doodlecharms cricut cartrige. The only difference, is this time I was able to do it all very quickly, using the cricut craft room.
Materials Used: Paper: DCWV Small Cupcake: Recollections 3-D stickers Large Cupcake: Cricut - Doodlecharms Title: Cricut - Disney Mickey Font The pictures below are the best from the photo shoot with Miss Sweet 16, Heather!!!

A while back, I posted a group of pictures I took of my cousin, Alexis at the Fort Worth Water Gardens. It was my first time to shoot there, and it was amazing. There were so many different places and ideas just kept popping into my head. At one point, when Alexis was down in the pit, and I was way up at the top, shooting down at here, a man stopped me and said, “She is beautiful, and those red shoes, wow, should be a great photograph.” I agree, so when it came time to scrapbook these pictures, I knew the title right away, and knew that I wanted to create a page which would highlight her red shoes and her zebra dress. Materials used:
Paper: zebra paper from the Paper Studio – Safari Untamed Collection Ribbon: Red rickrack from Hobby Lobby Brads: black and white zebra – The Paper Studio Beautiful sticker: Glitz & Glitter word stickers Alexis is a member of my family, and one of my favoriate subjects to photograph. When I found out about the Fort Worth Water Gardens, I knew we had to make the trip over there to take some pictures. The night before, we drove around Denton, to take a few shots. That's when we found the large Texas Flag, painted on the side of a building. I knew it would make for some great photos. The next day, we drove to the Water Gardens, and it was more than I expected. I can't wait to go back to take some more.
